Conspiracy Theorists Claim They Have ‘Proof’ Celebrity Space Flight Was ‘Fake’

Conspiracy theorists are claiming they have ‘proof’ that the celebrity Blue Origin space mission was faked.

Theorists have begun circulating claims that katy perrys recent journey to space aboard Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin rocket was fabricated.

On Tuesday, the American pop star participated in the historic all-female mission aboard the New Shepard NS-31 rocket, part of Bezos’s Blue Origin space program.

Cameras caught Perry exclaiming ‘Oh my God’ as the rocket launched from its West Texas facility, with her four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom watching from the ground.

During the 11-minute journey, Perry and her fellow crew members, which included Bezos’s fiancée Lauren Sanchez, experienced the thrill of weightlessness after their craft separated at 28,000 feet altitude.

The spacecraft crossed the Kármán line, reaching 66.5 miles (107 km) above Earth, officially entering space before returning safely via parachute-assisted landing.

However, the mission’s authenticity has come into question after observers noticed something unusual during the landing sequence.

Dr. Daniel Jolley, a conspiracy psychology expert from the University of Nottingham, explained to mailonline “Space is vast, complex and largely inaccessible to most people – in this context, it becomes easier for some individuals to question the official narrative.”

Internet skeptics are pointing to footage showing a capsule door being manipulated as ‘definitive proof’ that the widely publicized flight was staged.

The controversy centers around footage showing the capsule door seemingly being opened from inside before being closed again, only to have Bezos later approach with a specialized tool to officially open the hatch.

This sequence of events prompted online skeptics to declare it as evidence of deception.

“I’d say this is the nail in the coffin. FAKE,” wrote one critic online.

Another claimed: “It was fake. The girls opened the door to begin with from the inside with no tools. They then waited a few minutes, and Jeff Bezos stepped up with some sort of tool and acted like he unlocked the latch.”

Some online theorists have gone further, suggesting the mission was filmed in a Hollywood studio or that the crew was actually suspended in water tanks to simulate weightlessness, per the mirror

Others have made more extreme claims involving satanic symbolism in the mission patches.

While there is little doubt among experts that the Blue Origin rocket did reach space as claimed, the incident highlights how meticulously choreographed public space missions can become targets for conspiracy theories, especially when they involve celebrities and billionaires. The mission has created what psychologists call a ‘perfect storm’ for conspiracy theories by combining space exploration, celebrity culture, and the involvement of one of the world’s wealthiest individuals.
