15 People Who Were Blessed by an Instant Twist of Fate

Sometimes success must come naturally, and other times a lot of effort is needed to reach a goal. However, in both cases, it is impossible to acknowledge that luck played a significant role in the result. You can see how their experiences in this collection perfectly exemplify this concept.

Story 1: At two in the morning, my wife and I were driving back from a party when our car broke down in a far-off place. We waited because there were no cell phones back then. After an hour, we were driven to town by a college student who happened to be passing by. He responded, “Happy to help,” when we offered money.

My wife called in tears years later. She instructed me to open the news in a tremulous voice. The student turned out to be a 35-year-old man who had targeted late-night drivers and robbed over 30 people in forests and deserted areas.

When I discovered that the police had wanted him in multiple states, I got shivers. He would either pick people up in his own car or pose as a lost hiker to hitch a ride. His strategies were incredibly cunning. Once he had earned their trust, he would deprive them of everything and abandon them in a remote location.

We still don’t understand why he didn’t rob us. Perhaps he was intimidated by my height and muscle, or maybe it was just that there were two of us. For whatever reason, we were extremely fortunate to escape unscathed.

My friend decides to see this girl again after meeting her in a bar, something he never does. He gets lucky, and the date goes well. Later, when she puts her head on his chest while they are cuddling, she detects an irregular heartbeat.

This girl, who works as a nurse, insists that he visit the ER right away. They said he would have died within a day if he hadn’t had a major heart operation at that time. He had no idea what was going on. Reddit/OuchLOLcom

Story 5: I saw an elderly woman calling for help as soon as I stepped outside today. “Hello, have you lost someone?” I said as I went up to her. “Yes, my canine. Lina is her name. How could I not assist, then?

The two of us searched the area but were unable to locate the dog. I offered to have posters printed and displayed. I went to the copy center after we went upstairs and she gave me a picture of the dog. Lina was discovered after I posted posters on each doorway and heard barking coming from behind me. I assume she saw the poster indicating she was missing. Not everyone is going to comprehend / VK

Story 7: While talking to my then-girlfriend about how broke I was to buy a festival ticket, I discovered £160 in cash on a riverbank. How it ended up on the riverbank, so far from the town, is unknown. You should not deposit your money at River Bank. © Reddit/Turbulent-T

My spouse and I took a vacation to a distant country, where we stayed at a modest but lovely hotel with a view of the sea. We met a pleasant older couple at the hotel on the first night. As our conversation came to an end, we learned that they were the property’s owners and were invited to move into the available suite.

When the owners came to say goodbye to us the night before we left, they said that we reminded them a lot of themselves when they were younger, which made us believe there was a trick and that it wasn’t free. I’m not even sure when we’ll be able to go back to see them because I returned from vacation pregnant. ©VK/Overheard

Story 10: On a plane, my spouse and I were assigned aisle seats in the center of five rows, as well as in separate rows. We’ll manage without one another; it’s a four-hour flight. Then one of the men in my husband’s row approaches me and requests a seat change. I agree; what’s the difference if we sit apart anyhow?

I am now on the right side, and my husband is on the outer left. Between us, three seats are vacant. And what do you know? They had no one sitting in them! So, just the two of us, we lowered the armrests and lay down there! ©Pikabu/

Story 11: I received a lovely necklace from my mother. I felt nothing when I went to scratch my neck one morning. It was really nice, so I was very disappointed when it fell off because I guess I didn’t put the latch on correctly.

Story 13: Career Interview Concept in a Business Setting Job Seeker Present Resume Managers

I applied for a job that was well beyond my pay range, and the salary was more than double what I was earning at the time. It also came with full benefits, a pension, and other nice perks. I arrived for the interview early, and since I had some free time, I read some trade publications in the lobby.

I made it a point to read and absorb as much information as I could from one article concerning the top ten threats to this industry. I eventually get called for the interview, and for the most part, everything is going well. I believe that being new to this industry and role may have come across as a weakness during the interview, but I was then asked, “What do you see as potential issues within our industry/business?”

I was so thrilled that I nearly leaped out of my seat and talked extensively about what I had just discovered. The interviewers were quite impressed, but they were unaware that I would have had almost nothing to say if I had been asked the same question only half an hour earlier. I was hired. © Reddit/TheDude77

Story 15: I worked two jobs and was completely broke many years ago. Every night I would eat tuna or macaroni and hotdogs. I would walk to work because I couldn’t afford to fill up my car with gas.

Around 11:00 p.m. one night, I was walking home in the dark when I noticed a fifty-dollar bill on the snow. My first thought after picking it up was that I could use it to buy groceries, but I also considered the possibility that someone else might be just as poor as I was and had lost the money. I froze for an hour in a field, hoping that the person who lost the money would come and find it, but they never did.

The impact that finding the $50 had on me is beyond words. I was able to fuel my car in addition to eating. My life appeared to change at that very moment, and it did. My perspective was altered, and I was given opportunities to succeed, which I did. © Reddit / DICHOTOMY-REDDIT
