The American actress was best known for playing Dawn Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Georgina Sparks in Gossip Girl.
She also starred in the films EuroTrip, Ice Princess, and 17 Again, among others.
The actress had stepped back from Hollywood life before her passing.
Earlier this year, Trachtenberg’s sudden death at the age of 39 left fans shocked.

The actress was found ‘unconscious and unresponsive’ in her New York City apartment in February.
Authorities said they responded to an emergency call, and Trachtenberg was pronounced dead after medical emergency services arrived.
A source told people magazine that shortly before her death, the 39-year-old had confided to friends about her emotional and physical struggles in the year leading up to her passing.
“She was really, really sick and was open with those close to her about her struggles,” the insider said.

“Sweetheart Michelle. What sad news this morning to wake up to. It feels weird and awful to be posting this, but I want to acknowledge your death because I cared about you,” Amanda penned , alongside a photo of a young Trachtenberg posing for the camera.
“I will always remember you as the young, vivacious woman I met when I took this photo of you.”

Days after Trachtenberg’s death, the New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said the star’s cause and manner of death would remain undetermined.
The actress’s family, who are Orthodox Jews, had reportedly objected to an autopsy, citing religious objections.
In the Jewish faith, autopsies are generally not performed as bodies are believed to be sacred and should not be tampered with after death.
A spokesperson said in a February statement: “[A]bsent any suspicion of criminality around the circumstances of the death, the medical examiner will honor the objection.”
Yet on April 16, Trachtenberg’s cause of death came to light.

The New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said the 39-year-old died of complications of diabetes mellitus, as per the Los Angeles times .
“Diabetes mellitus refers to a group of diseases that affect how the body uses blood sugar (glucose),” explains the mayo clinic . “Glucose is an important source of energy for the cells that make up the muscles and tissues. It’s also the brain’s main source of fuel.”
It is unclear whether the actress had type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
The office did not disclose any specific complications that resulted in Trachtenberg’s death. Officials also determined her manner of death was natural.
The BBC reports that Trachtenberg’s cause of death was ruled through toxicology tests and that a post-mortem examination was not performed.
