A Friends star has tragically died.
The American sitcom follows the lives of six friends in their 20s and 30s living in Manhattan, New York City.
After hearing the saddening news of the actor’s passing, people have taken to social media and paid tribute.
One person writes: “Rest in peace, Nicky.”
Another remembers: “A genius talent who always delivered.”
“He never played the lead, but you always remembered him. That’s real talent,” somebody else says.
A fourth fan pens: “I’m sorry to hear that. He will be missed.”

Nicky Katt was a guest star in the Friends episode ‘The One with the Bullies,’ he played Arthur, one of two bullies at the Central Perk coffee shop.
The actor, born May 11, 1970, began his career at age seven when he appeared on the 1977 TV series CHiPs. He later starred in other shows such as Quincy M.E., Father Murphy, and V.
His breakout role was as Clint Bruno in the 1993 film Dazed and Confused, alongside Matthew McConaughey, Ben Affleck, Parker Posey, and others.
Other notable movies include A Time to Kill, Boiler Room, and School of Rock.
Katt starred in three seasons of Boston Public, playing Harry Senate.
In addition to Friends, he guest-starred in shows such as King of the Hill and Law & Order.
The actor also performed on stage, appearing off-Broadway in Woody Allen’s 2004 world premiere play, A Second-Hand Memory.
Katt’s last credited role was in 2018 on the Hulu original series Casual.
In 2020, the star joined his Dazed and Confused co-stars for a virtual reading of the film’s old script to raise money for the Voto Latino Foundation and March for Science.

In his personal life, Katt was married to Annie Morse from 1999 until their divorce in 2001.
Few details about his family life are available, as he largely kept his relationships out of the public eye.

Katt was found dead in his Burbank apartment on April 8. He was 54 years old.
The actor’s family say he took his own life.
Katt’s sister, Elise Ravenscroft, told deadline “Today, with the heaviest of hearts, I share the devastating news of my brother’s passing.
“He died by s**cide after battling with depression – one that he fought bravely but quietly.”
It’s said the actor left no note or explanation.
