Sydney Sweeney had to ‘try not to faint’ while starring alongside actor who was her first celebrity crush

Sydney Sweeney is getting candid about her first Hollywood crush… and it turns out, it’s someone she ended up working with.

In a video shared by IMDb , the Euphoria and Anyone But You star revealed that her first movie star crush was none other than Leonardo DiCaprio. sweeney , 26, gushed about falling for the Oscar winner during his Romeo + Juliet era and watching his career unfold over the years.

“My first movie star crush was Leonardo DiCaprio,” Sweeney said in the clip. “Romeo + Juliet (1996), I think that was the first time I saw Leo in a film. After that, I ended up watching every other film he’s ever done. Titanic (1997), I loved him in that. Then I got to work with him. I had to pinch myself, take in every possible moment that I could when I was working with him, trying not to faint.”

Sweeney shared screen time with DiCaprio in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood (2019), which also starred Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie.

While Sweeney’s confession was sweet and nostalgic, the internet couldn’t resist chiming in, especially on X. Some users quickly pointed out DiCaprio’s well-known dating history, which has often drawn attention for his tendency to date women under the age of 25.

“She’s 26. Isn’t that too old for him???” one user joked.

“Leo probably would have dated her five years ago,” another quipped.

Others, however, were more supportive and hopeful.

“Come on, he has to make an exception for this one,” one fan wrote . Another added: “That’s the signal the stud of the century needed,” with a teary-eyed laughing emoji.One user cheekily commented: “Hold up, he might make one exception… that dashboard should qualify for freshness.”As of now, DiCaprio is reportedly dating 25-year-old model Vittoria Ceretti. He previously dated Camila Morrone for four years before splitting in 2022, shortly after she turned 25. He was also briefly linked to Gigi Hadid.

While DiCaprio is set to star in Paul Thomas Anderson’s upcoming film, Sweeney has several major projects on the horizon, including Echo Valley and Eden.
