Tom Hardy Issues Sad Health Update: ‘It’s Not Going To Get Better’

Tom Hardy has shared a devastating health update with fans, as he says ‘it’s not going to get better.’

The English actor, known for his performances in Venom and Mad Max: Fury Road, is receiving well wishes from fans after sharing the sad news.

“This illness sucks, it’s the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life,” one person writes. “Nothing is more humbling. People who’ve never felt it don’t understand what a fear-inducing word it is.”

Another adds: “He should take a break. He is a multi-millionaire already. He should take in projects that are well spaced out to give him time to recover.”

“Poor dude. I’m dealing with the same right now, and it’s no walk in the park. I have to tell you, it’s excruciating!” a third types.

This is not the first time Hardy has been open about his health.

The actor has been publicly sober for over two decades, having entered rehab at the age of 25 in 2003.

In an interview with Essentials in 2015, he openly talked about his struggle with addiction.

Hardy said his addiction was so bad that at one point, he would have sacrificed his family to feed his drug habit, per AOL: “I would have sold my mother for a rock of crack.”

Speaking of his coc**** problem, he commented: “I was a shameful suburban statistic. I was told very clearly, ‘You go down that road, Tom, you won’t come back. That’s it. All you need to know.’”

Hardy is a highly in-demand actor – after he finished promoting The Last Dance in December, he immediately began filming MobLand, which seems to be taking a toll on his body.

In a recent interview with Esquire, he shared: “I got dizzy today, took a Sudafed and it’s starting to work, so I feel better, but in the interviews I was sitting there, and you know when you feel not right, but you can’t tell someone you don’t feel right? Like, ‘Listen, if I pass out…’”

Hardy then went into detail about physical issues he is dealing with: “I’ve had two knee surgeries now, my disc’s herniated in my back, I’ve got sciatica as well.

“And I have that… is it plantar fasciitis? Where did that come from? And why? Why?! And I pulled my tendon in my hip as well.”

Cleveland clinic defines sciatica as ‘when irritation, inflammation, pinching or compression affects one or more nerves that run down your lower back and into your legs.’

The  Mayo clinic states that plantar fasciitis is ‘a condition characterized by inflammation and pain in the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue that runs along the bottom of your foot from your heel to your toes.’

Hardy added: “It’s like, it’s all falling to bits now, and it’s not going to get better.”
