Remember the troll dolls? They’re these pocket-sized plastic collectibles of human-like figures with crazy hair. They’ve been around since the 1960s and saw a major revival in the 1990s. 

Some would call them cute, while others would be repulsed, but a large chunk of people had them as keychains, table ornaments, or something they’d put on their dashboard.  

2025 is seeing a similar trend through the Labubu frenzy. Many of you first read about it in a recent article on this site and realized the popularity of these toys. 

They’ve become so popular that fake versions called Lafufus have also made the rounds, much to the dismay of many enthusiastic collectors. Some of them had to share their sentiments online, and here they are.

Some people marry for love, some for tradition, and a few just want to make sure their bills are never late. So when someone on Reddit asked, “For women that married the ‘rich one’ out of security, what has it been like?”, the answers were something else. #2

I was a waitress when I started dating my husband, he wasnt rich but he had just graduated from a great business school and had landed a great job with one of his fathers friends. I did however know his family was wealthy but that wasnt a factor, I was young and I thought the world was easy.

Still, no matter how much content is being watched, just as much, if not more, is uploaded constantly – in May 2019, videos were being uploaded at a rate of over 500 hours of content per minute. In mid-2024, it was estimated that the site hosted around 14.8 billion videos in total. Impressive numbers, aren’t they? 

YouTube isn’t only a simple site to watch videos, but for some, it’s a full-time job. And we’re not talking about people who are responsible for the site’s functionality or the business itself; we’re talking about those whose job is creating those videos – YouTubers.

Like in the ‘80s, words like selfie weren’t really a thing. While taking pics of yourself was something people did, they didn’t have a specific word for it, as the term only took off in the 2000s. Now, it seems like an inherent part of your daily language, but not that long ago, it didn’t even exist.

Having your stuff stolen sucks. Sometimes the suck is small, like when your lunch gets pilfered from the office fridge, and sometimes the suck is more serious, like when your car gets stolen. Either way, neither is ideal.

One person whose car was about to be stolen caught the thieves red-handed and managed to scare them off. It wasn’t long before they were back trying to make their getaway in another stolen car, only to be served with instant karma. So, wearing nothing but their underwear, OP rushed outside, yelled into the dark, and two would-be carjackers bolted into the night.

A short while later, OP heard engine noises again. This time, backup arrived: their roommates in pajamas, wielding a bat and a skateboard. As the crew stood yelling from the porch, a voice called out, claiming it was their car. Spoiler alert: it really wasn’t. That’s when OP decided to fight fire with fire.

Without missing a beat, they shouted, “No, that’s MY car now!” The thieves, clearly not ready for pajama-clad chaos, awkwardly backed off, gave up, and beat a hasty retreat on foot. Honestly, OP’s audacity and the bat probably helped. No punches thrown, just strategic shouting; the night rescued by nerves of steel and sleepwear solidarity.

The cops arrived soon after, confirmed the thieves’ getaway car, also a Honda, was stolen, and returned it to its rightful owner. Thanks to a smart kill switch and a ridiculous but effective defense squad, everyone’s cars (and dignity) remained intact. Moral of the story? Always secure your ride… and maybe pick roommates who won’t hesitate to charge to your aid in nothing but briefs and boxers.

How under appreciated a lot of fathers feel today. When my wife is spoiled by the entire family on mother’s day. When I dedicate an expensive, lavish date for her and my daughter makes gifts and a card for her. Yet here I sit, alone at 12pm on yet another father’s day and haven’t even heard a word from either of them nor my mother who wanted to keep my daughter this weekend knowing it was father’s day weekend.

Hi everyone! I’m a tattoo artist originally from Ukraine, and I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always drawn to creativity, and that passion led me through art school, art lyceum, and later, art college. But it wasn’t until I discovered tattooing that everything really clicked.

I started when I was 17. I learnt by watching YouTube videos and practised on pig skin. I had a lot of friends who were excited to get tattooed, and I was just as excited to become a tattoo artist. At the time, continuing formal education wasn’t an option, so tattooing became both my artistic outlet and my livelihood.
