Mark Lewis, 57, is passionate about molding sand into weird and wonderful landscapes, creatures, and buildings, and his creative sculptures — including Spongebob Squarepants and a giant pair of Crocs — have been earning him attention on social media.

Baby Magellanic penguins are getting a pedicure at a zoo to stop their keepers confusing them at Blackpool Zoo in Lancashire. Photo released June 26 2025. The two of chicks have had their toenails painted blue - This is so their health checks, weight and developmental progress can be accurately recorded by keepers at Blackpool Zoo in Lancashire. The Magellanic penguins - native to Argentina and Chile - are the only ones of their kind in the UK, with 10 males and 13 females currently living in the zoo's newly expanded Penguin Cove.

Baby Penguins Get Pedicures at UK Zoo to Stop Keepers From Confusing Them

Baby penguins getting their nails did is inherently adorable, but at Blackpool Zoo in England, where these pedicures are taking place, they also serve a purpose: preventing keepers from mixing the chicks up. One chick from each pair in a nest box has had its toenails painted with blue nail polish, so the baby birds’ health checks, weights, and developmental progress can be accurately recorded.

Local artist Lino Lombardi, 57, grew frustrated to see his hometown "crumbling" around him - and was determined to make it a destination worth visiting.In 2017 he created Stramurales - an annual street art festival - inviting artists from around the world to paint murals in the town.

Welcome to the tiny homes town — where more than 60 people live in homes as small as 8.5 feet wide across four connecting neighborhoods. Dan Dobrowolski, 66, is founder of the national tiny home company Escape, which built The Village, The Oaks, Palm Court, and The Grove in Tampa Bay, Florida. The 45 homes fit up to two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and bathrooms, and they cost as little as $156,199 to buy and $1,295 a month to rent. And unlike mobile home parks or RV sites, Escape Tampa Bay is constructed with permanent infrastructure.
